CafePress Swag!

The amazing Amber has created some fun new designs for swag this year, along with our TFMU logo so graciously designed by Kassiah -- and we shifted things to a CafePress store. We've heard whispers that CP has higher quality and faster shipping, so we hope you're as pleased as we are with this change.

I want to warn you that there are some functional "quirks" with the store. For example, I can't find all the t-shirts under the t-shirt category, but if you look under each logo design, you'll see they do exist. Trust me when I say I've been troubleshooting for over a week now to no avail; I do apologize for any inconvenience it causes you, but hopefully it won't be a big deal.

If you see a graphic that you want on a product you don't see, please don't hesitate to let us know. We will be very happy to create whatever you want and make sure there's something you'll love.

So, get your orders in early to have your swag ready to bring with you to the meet up! I know I'll be there with a water bottle, a coffee cup, probably a flask, a t-shirt... you get the idea.

Inside the Author's Studio Day 9 & INFO

Welcome to the final author announcement, as well as a few housekeeping reminders. :)

Last but certainly not least joining Inside the Author's Studio is luvrofink. Please join me in lifting a glass for Inky.

luvrofink's bio:

I like tentacles and time travel, and I was born in the wrong era.
Inked skin and pretty panties are two of my true loves, and I dream of
a blue police box that would bring the dashing Tenth to my rescue.

Mrspackman, my first fanfiction alias, was born circa June 2008. I
changed my name to Luvr-of-ink a couple of years later.

I've written everything from fluff to tentacle porn, and no matter the
gap between stories I'm always amazed at how much love and enthusiasm
there is in the fandom. With over eighty stories under my belt, some
posted and some not, I've still got more up my sleeve.

Twific saved my marriage and brought me some amazingly fantastic
friends. I'm not sure what my life would look like without it.

The three fics that I'm most proud of or love the most:

If you haven't paid your fees to attend, you'll want to get that done ASAP -- the amount goes up March 16 (that's two days from today -- THIS Saturday!).

Once you sign up and your fees are paid, please make sure to respond to the Attendee Profile you should have gotten via email. This has vital information in it, like your t-shirt size, and other things we NEED to make your experience in Chicago awesome! Also, this is VITAL if you need or want a roommate -- please don't skip those questions, since we're using that data to try and match compatible roomies.

One last friendly reminder about the Spotlight; if you haven't sent yours in, please go read our helpful tips, and then send it on to us. :)

We can't wait to see you all.

Inside the Author's Studio Announcements Day 8

Today's amazing author is Rochelle Allison!

Rochelle is an island girl living in Florida with her husband and two sons. When she's not reading or writing, she's rolling around the grass with the littles, baking, playing WWF, and taking pictures of everything. She's been in the fandom since 2008, and writing for it since 2009.

Top 3 Fics:
Starry Eyed Inside
Volition
Air

This is the end of the Author's Studio lineup -- for now! We hope you've enjoyed seeing who the participating authors are, and getting to know them a little better. Please post your questions for ALL of the authors in this thread. We can't wait to see your questions here, and you in June!

Attendee Spotlight Assistance!

One of the pieces of information we request from you post-registration is your Attendee Spotlight. Sometimes, it's hard to figure out what to say in this, so we thought we'd give you a little nudge (please send us your spotlight to spotlight@twificmeetup.com!) and help.

First, we would absolutely love to have a picture of you to include. Don't feel pressured, though -- if you don't include a photo, that's fine, too!

Please make the spotlight your own. There are no pre-set questions or rules for what information to include. This is your space to introduce yourself to your fellow attendees. You can have one paragraph or 20, however much space it takes for us to get a sense of who you are.

We hope this helps, and we look forward to reading and posting all about YOU in the coming days!

Inside the Author's Studio Announcements Day 7

Today, we welcome IReen H / ajapersuasia We are so excited to have you on board!

Aja's bio:

I am obsessive, not compulsive, definitely disorderly. I wallow in Sci-Fi porno, macabre musical adventures, dirty-pretty androgyny, and anything purple.

Sometimes I have a lot to say. Sometimes nothing.

Sometimes I write erotica, sometimes I write the opposite.  I get inspired in the shower.  Go figure.  It’s like a sensory deprivation chamber – one where I am always at a loss for pen and paper.

I dream in art nouveau, I sing out of key, I like falcons and other things that start with F.  Like flowers and free expression.  Fruit, fornication, fabrication, fiction, food.

Fourteen.  That’s how old my son is.  He’s the best thing I ever made.

Flove,

IReen

Inside the Author's Studio Announcements Day 6

Monday is here again ... but hopefully your day will be a little less dreadful with today's author reveal -- the spectacular ooza!

ooza's bio:

*cues inner narcissist*

Ohai, I’m ooza (aka kitteh [aka Jill]). When I'm not plotting werld dominashun, I can be found in mah ebil lair, writing Harry P—er… I mean, Twilight fanfic. Sometimes I need a break from Edward, so I read books with swoony boys. My days are typically filled with tweeting and Rob!porn. I also like nerdy computer things. There are times when I don’t have an electronic device within reach, usually when I’m at dance class or 100 feet below sea level. If I’m talking, I’m probably saying something inappropriate. I like swears. And cheez. And Rob, did I mention that? Man, this bio blows. Where are my minions when I need them? #slackers

Inside the Author's Studio Announcements Day 5

TGIF! *lifts a martini*

Today's author is the one and only jaime_arkin. Are you guys getting as excited about this lineup as I am? We still have a whole week of authors to reveal, too!

Jaime's bio:

I joined the Twilight fandom in late 2009 and was astounded by all the talent I was able to find. Having been away from reading just about everything for quite a while, Twilight was the first real book series to revive my passion for the written word. From there it has been a whirlwind!

I have done everything in this fandom, from prereading, to on the spot beta'ing, to banner making and setting up blogs and eventually ... Trying my hand at writing. I have worked with (and continue to work with) many familiar blogs you might recognize: The Lemonade Stand, Fic Pics, Indie Fic Pimp, and I was even a member of the incredible team who organized TwiFic Trivia

It feels like I've had my hands just about everywhere in this fandom and along the way I have made some wonderful memories and incredible friends who will be a part of my life forever.

I can be found via my blog these days writing about the books I have been reading and working on a few writing projects but I also hope to eventually be back to making banners for the fandom very soon! I'm also on twitter, and my ffn accounts include jarkin33 and aftrnoondlight.

The three Fics that I'm most proud of or love the most are on this list mostly because I got to write them with an amazing friend but also because I'm incredibly proud of the story they each tell.
