ATTENDEE SPOTLIGHT - @Ohpenelope5446

Hi! I'm Kim (Ohpenelope5446)! Not really sure what to say so I'll answer the questions!

1. What was the 1st Twilight FanFiction that you read? Did it only entice you to read more? Why or why not?

My first fic was The Office and while I waited for that to update, I read Wide Awake and I couldn't stop after that! I devoured fic after fic after fic. lol

2. What are you most looking forward to at the Twific Meet Up?

I'm excited to meet everyone! I've met with a few girls before and have always had the best time! We always laugh so much and so much more in common than just Twilight. I hope this will be like that except times 90+ people:) I'm also excited to see Chicago! I've only ever seen the airport so I'd love to get out and see the city!

3. Are you a reader or a writer, or both?

Mostly a reader. I tried my hand at writing, but real life has gotten in the way. :/

-If you're a reader, what genre(s) do you mainly read?

I don't mind some angst, but I do like my HEA!

4. Have you ever been to Vegas/Chicago (wherever the TFMU event is being held) before? If yes, tell us what you loved/hated most about it. If you haven't been, what are you most excited to see - or on the opposite side of the spectrum - what are you most worried about when visiting Vegas/Chicago? (I'm worried about excessive sweating, tbh.)

I'm not even sure! I just want to get out with my girls, see the sights, and have some laughs (and drinks)! I am worried about getting lost though, will someone hold my hand?? Lol

5. Have any pets? Kids? If so, tell us how many and their breeds (the dogs, people, the dogs). We love animals! (Well, I do.) (And kids, too!)

I have 3 kids! A 5 yo girl, a 3 yo boy, and a 9 month old boy. I also have a dog, Riley, and two cats, Nemo and Prince. We recently got a puppy (as in yesterday) and named her Emma! She's the cutest! I have a crazy household, but I wouldn't change a thing!

6. What did you think of The Hunger Games movie? WHAT?! WE ALL SAW IT DIDN'T WE?! (Just kidding. Psst...go ahead and answer it if you want to, I won't care.)

I enjoyed the movie. It's one of the few movies the hubs and I can go see and both be excited about!

Bonus Question:
If you could be one FicBella, FicEdward, FicEmmett, FicJasper or FicAlice (you get the picture-pick any character) for one day - which one would it be? (I would totes be FicEdward in @TruceOver's A Tale of Two Cities)

Oh Geez, what a question!! I've read so much fic, I'm not even sure where to begin... Honestly, I really wouldn't mind being any of the FicBella's as long as I get to be with FicEdward!

ATTENDEE SPOTLIGHT - @mnnlisa

1.     What was the 1st Twilight FanFiction that you read? Did it only entice you to read more? Why or why not?  Wide Awake was one of the first along with Tropic of Virgo and Clipped Wings & Inked Armor.  Loved these stories, started reading a lot more.

2.     What are you most looking forward to at the Twific Meet Up.  Networking with other fans.

3.     Are you a reader or a writer, or both?  Reader.

4.     -If you're a writer, what genre(s) do you mainly write? n/a

5.     -If you're a reader, what genre(s) do you mainly read?  All kinds, other than Jasper/Edward slash, I prefer canon. Prefer AH.  Love romance, angst drives me crazy.

6.     Have you ever been to Chicago before? If yes, tell us what you loved/hated most about it. If you haven't been, what are you most excited to see - or on the opposite side of the spectrum - what are you most worried about when visiting Chicago?  Lived here all my life.  Well, in the suburbs. Chicago offers everything.

7.     Have any pets? Kids? If so, tell us how many and their breeds (the dogs, people, the dogs). We love animals! (Well, I do.) ATTENDEE SPOTLIGHT - @pyejammies

Bio of Pyejammies (Pauline) from Maidenhead, UK.

1.   What was the 1st Twilight Fanfiction that you read? Did it entice you to read more? Why or Why not?
I can’t remember which was my first but I read Wide Awake early on and then I found The Mistress and Her Master by NanMcCullen and the wonderful world of BDSM was opened to me.  From there I wandered into slash and poly.  Fave fics of all time are Dead on My Feet by Cesca Marie and Clipped Wings and Inked Armour by HunterHunting. I’ve read those so many times.  Fave slash is Over the Top by Starfish422 and poly has to be The Trip Home by MsKathy

2.   What are you most looking forward to at the Twific Meet Up?
Meeting a bunch of like minded people and especially meeting some of my favourite authors.  Of course meeting up with my good buddy Beans827 will be the best, she rocks.

3.   Are you a reader or a writer, or both?
I tried my hand at writing but didn’t get far with it.  I am determined to take another shot at it. It will be slash when I do. As for reading I like my Edwards’s flawed and especially I like a Disabledward so Impact by Nise7465 has been my go to fic. Not forgetting If on a Winters Night by Touchstone 67. Give me an Edward with a limp and I’m in heaven! You can see why I liked Dead on My Feet and CW&IA. (I know, I’m weird!)

4.   Have you ever been to Chicago before?
No but ever since I read Deep Dish by Starfish 422 I’ve been keen to check it out.  Of course being Edward’s hometown is a draw as well.

5.   Have any kids or pets?
I don’t have kids of my own but my husband has two daughters so I am a granny to their children. As for pets I have a pond full of newts, if that counts.

6.   Have you seen Hunger Games?
Sorry, no, and I haven’t read the books either.

7.   If you could be one FicBella, FicEdward, FicEmmett, FicJasper or FicAlice who would it be?
Hm, that is so difficult, but I love Edward in the Real Life of Edward Masen, so, yeah, I’d be him. Or maybe Edward in The Measure of a Man, I’d love to be a gay guy for a day.

ATTENDEE SPOTLIGHT - @IsBeMused

Facebook and FF Name: HisMystic Muse Twitter: IsBeMused

I am an avid reader of fan fiction, preferring cannon couples with a bit of slash here and there, as needed. LOL I will read and have read, almost anything. But I definitely have my favorites which are: Transcendence, Wide Awake, MOTU, The Office, Seattle Express, Curve Ball, Life, Love and Madame Esme, The Naughty Schoolgirl  to name a few...

I am not a very well known writer, which is good and fine with me as I am just fine with being a little dirty secret. ;P I prefer to stay away from drama, and prefer it to stay away from me.

My stories usually have an supernatural, whimsical, mythical theme to them, as that is what interests me. My most popular stories are: Sirens, Ren Faire, Guardian Angel, and The Decanter and the Doll.

Personals: I go by Annie or Musie

I've met most of the Twi cast, my favorites being Jackson, Pfach, and Daniel Cudmore.

I am a wife for Mr for almost 14 years, mom to Mini, 12, the Boy, 10 and our surprise baby who will be 1 in May.

I stay at home with the kids, sculpt figurines and replica's, several of which are signed.

I am happy, overall. I like a peaceful, quite existence and am very thankful to be able to get to meet some amazing authors, and surely some new friends!

ATTENDEE SPOTLIGHT - @Chye_lin

1. What was the 1st Twilight FanFiction that you read? Did it only entice you to read more? Why or why not?

I do not remember the first story I read. I do remember the first non-cannon story was "When Darkness Turns to Light" by Janna Banana. It ends up being a Jasper/Bella story. At first I was shocked it always has be Edward/Bella but if it's a good story it doesn't have to be.  The first story that I read more than once was "The Office". I remember thinking Wow that was freak'n hot!!!

2. What are you most looking forward to at the Twific Meet Up?

I am looking forward to seeing my friends and making some new ones! I can't wait to get hugs from everyone. It's been too long!

3. Are you a reader or a writer, or both?

This is kind of bittersweet answer...I lost my reading mojo back in January. I went to some major personal stuff during this time and now I can't read. :( I was an avid reader until then so hopefully I'll get my mojo back soon.

I'm a sort of writer. I've posted two 1-shots on FFN under penname Twi-Lin. I would like to write but I really don't have the time to acquire the skills to become a better writer.

4. Have you ever been to Chicago (wherever the TFMU event is being held) before?  This will be my first time going to Chicago. I'm looking forward to having Chicago style pizza and doing a little sightseeing.

5. Have any pets? Kids? If so, tell us how many and their breeds (the dogs, people, the dogs). We love animals! (Well, I do.) (And kids, too!)

I have a beagle named Phoebe. She's getting old now. She's 11 and very spoiled.

Have a grown daughter and a 3-year old grandson. Being a grandparent is pretty awesome! He's so much fun.

6. What did you think of The Hunger Games movie? WHAT?! WE ALL SAW IT DIDN'T WE?! (Just kidding. Psst...go ahead and answer it if you want to, I won't care.)

OMG! That movie made my heart hurt. The plot to me is horrific...children killing to the death for sport. I sobbed cried in the theater when sweet little Rue was killed. I didn't read the books before the movie and there is no way I'm going to read them now. My imagination is too vivid!!!

Bonus Question:

If you could be one FicBella, FicEdward, FicEmmett, FicJasper or FicAlice (you get the picture-pick any character) for one day - which one would it be?

I would be Bella in Ms Kathy's The Trip Home because I'd get to be with two amazing hot men and we all love each other...I'm a hopeless romantic. *sigh*

ATTENDEE SPOTLIGHT - @kare831

My name is Karen but I answer to Kare more often than not.  I’m a writer/reader and I’ve been in the fandom since 2010.  I live in Southern California and I’m mother to a wonderful five-year-old daughter.  I’m a hairstylist by trade and I’m an avid scrapbooker.  If it’s not in the scrapbook, it didn’t happen. ;)

When I’m not writing, reading or scrapping, I like music and movies and I try to get to as many SoCal TFMU’s as possible.  I’ve met some pretty fantastic women in this fandom and I’m so happy to call quite a few of them my friends.  I love getting together with them to chat about fic.

Wide Awake was the first fanfic I read.  I was blogging on an Eclipse movie website and someone mentioned WA and I had no idea what it was.  People kept mentioning sparkly white unicorns, mythical creatures and cookies.   I wanted to know what I was missing out on.  So I finally Googled it and a few hundred stories later – here I am.

As I mentioned, I’m a writer and a reader.  I’m author of When You Least Expect It and co-author of What Fills the Eye Fills the Heart, Taking a Shot, In High Gear and a ton of others.  I’m pretty particular about what I read – I’m an Edward/Bella kinda girl and I love a good HEA.  I do like a little angst every now and then just to shake things up, but I do like a fluffy, sweet Edward.

I went to Las Vegas for last year’s meet-up and it was so much fun!  Not only did I get to fangirl over some of my favorite writers but I got to meet some of my wonderful readers too and that’s what I’m looking forward to doing again in Chicago. (Be warned there may be some squeeing involved.)  I’ve only ever been to the airports in Chicago, so it will be interesting to see a little bit of the city.  I know the Cubs aren’t playing at home the weekend we’re there, but I’d REALLY like to go see Wrigley Field and I NEED to find a pub and have a Guinness with my co-writer,  twimom817! =D

June can’t get here soon enough, I’m looking forward to seeing y’all!

ATTENDEE SPOTLIGHT - @Beans827

Bio of Beans827 (Terri) from Atlanta, GA

1. What was the 1st Twilight FanFiction that you read? Did it only entice you to read more? Why or why not?

I am not 100% sure what my first fic was.  I am thinking it might have been The List by LauraACullen which I absolutely loved.  I also think Wide Awake was probably the first AH fic.  I stayed away from AH at first because I could not quite fathom how a human Edward could be as interesting.  But after reading how damaged he was, I totally got it.  Vampirism was just a metaphor for many of the issues that these characters could struggle with.  It was so eye opening to me!!!

2. What are you most looking forward to at the Twific Meet Up?

I think I am excited about meeting others who enjoy the whole Twi-fandom as much as I do.  I wish I had gone to some of the events earlier on but getting to go at all is a huge.  I’m traveling from Atlanta, GA and staying with my Twi-BFF Pyejammies who is coming all the way from the UK.  We met through a fic and skype with one another every day.  It amazes me how this fandom has brought so many different people together.

3. Are you a reader or a writer, or both?

I am mostly a reader.  I have dabbled a bit in writing for a contest or two, but I truly enjoy reading everyone’s fics.  Again, it just amazes me that so many people can take the characters that we love and put them in so many different worlds.  I literally have enough reading material to last me several lifetimes.

-If you're a writer, what genre(s) do you mainly write?

I co-wrote a mystery-thriller one shot, a “F@ck My Life” one shot and I attempted my very first slash one shot.  It’s not as easy as non-writers think it is!  LOL!

-If you're a reader, what genre(s) do you mainly read?

I was going to say that I pretty much read everything, but then I realized I don’t read apocalyptic fics. Everything else is fair game though.  I prefer canon couples although I do enjoy Edward on the slash side of the fence with Jasper, Carlisle or even Emmett.  Oh, but I do NOT like fics in which Edward dies.  Bella can die.  That doesn’t bother me, but not Edward!

I have been to Chicago twice before, both times to see the Cubs play.  My family are HUGE baseball fanatics and we will literally take a 12 hour drive just to go to a game.  I know…CRAZY!

5. Have any pets? Kids? If so, tell us how many and their breeds (the dogs, people, the dogs). We love animals! (Well, I do.) (And kids, too!)

I have a 15 year old son and a 13 year old daughter, an 8 year old Jack Russell terrier named Mrs. Potts and a 1 year old Border Collie name…yes, you guessed it again, Bella!  LOL!

6. What did you think of The Hunger Games movie? WHAT?! WE ALL SAW IT DIDN'T WE?! (Just kidding. Psst...go ahead and answer it if you want to, I won't care.)

I saw it.  It was okay, but I’m not into it really.

Bonus Question:
If you could be one FicBella, FicEdward, FicEmmett, FicJasper or FicAlice (you get the picture-pick any character) for one day - which one would it be? (I would totes be FicEdward in @TruceOver's A Tale of Two Cities)

Okay, I think I have mine.  I want to be FicCarlisle in AbstractSong101’s Driven To Distraction for a day.  The reasons:

I would have a sexy English accent
I would have a penis and a prostate
And Edward would be f@cking me like a bunny.

‘Nuff said.

ATTENDEE SPOTLIGHT - @twiread3

1.    What was the 1st Twilight FanFiction that you read?

I first found fanfic after reading the leaked portion of Midnight Sun on Stephenie Meyer's website. I believe the first fanfic I read was the "completion" of Midnight Sun by obsessedtwibrarian. I still love what she writes today. After that, I just got really lucky in my searches. Right away I found lolashoes, tara sue me, and awesomesauce76. I think Let Your Light Shine by lolashoes was my second fanfic. That trilogy sucked me in and ruined me forever. I have been reading fanfic ever since.

2.    What are you most looking forward to at the Twific Meet Up?

Coming out of the closet (so to speak.) No one in my real life knows I read fanfic. No one even really knows I like Twilight. My oldest son is the only one who has any idea at all, and that is only because I own the DVDs and forgot to delete my search history on my computer once. He would never guess that I have been obsessively reading fanfic for 3 years now. He just thinks I have a crush on Rob.

3.    Are you a reader or a writer, or both?

I am a reader. There have been a few times I thought about writing something, but I really just don't have the time or the motivation. I am perfectly happy spending all of my little free time reading.

If you're a reader, what genre(s) do you mainly read?

I mainly read all human. At first I read a lot of canon vamp fics, but it got a little boring after a while. When I do read vamp stories now, they are almost always darker or sexier or more twisted.  I love human stories that have almost no ties to Twilight other than the character names. I also love slash. I'll read Edward, Bella, Jasper, Alice, Emmett, or Carlisle with just about anyone else. I really wish there was more Carlisle slash!

4.    Have you ever been to Chicago before?

No, I have never been to Chicago before. I am really looking forward to it. I have actually been trying to find a time to visit Chicago for a few years now. This was the perfect excuse!

5.    Have any pets? Kids? If so, tell us how many and their breeds (the dogs, people, the dogs). We love animals! (Well, I do.) (And kids, too!)

I have 2 boys. My oldest is 17 (turning 18 this summer!) and my youngest is just turning 13. We have always wanted a dog, but we are never home. I just can't bring myself to leave a dog home alone all day and into the evening.

Bonus Question:
If you could be one FicBella, FicEdward, FicEmmett, FicJasper or FicAlice (you get the picture-pick any character) for one day - which one would it be? (I would totes be FicEdward in @TruceOver's A Tale of Two Cities)

Easiest question ever! I would be FicBella in The Trip Home (& The Trip Home 2) by mskathy. She gets Edward and Jasper!!

ATTENDEE SPOTLIGHT - @1Lavishone

Hi!

I'm 1Lavishone aka 1 Lavish One on twitter. First fic I read was Metamorphosis...which no one remembers. LOL. Other Early fics include "The Screamers" by KiyaRaven and Art After 5 by SleepyValentina. I'm a reader/reviewer and will read nearly anything that's well-written (no canon hang-ups). 1st person in line at ComiCon 2 years in a row. Love this Fandom and have made friends through my love for TwiFic that will last a lifetime. Very eager to see everyone. Had a wonderful time at last year's TFMU!

ATTENDEE SPOTLIGHT - @Raffinie

Hi again ladies…

Once again tardy to the party, I’ve just paid fees and booked a flight, so I am now officially going to Chi-Town. AND I CAN’T WAIT TO SEE YOUR LOVELY FACES. Also, please meet me at happy hour (a.k.a. ALL THE HOURS) for a cocktail. Or wine. Or beer. Or champagne. I’m down for all of the above.

I am a long-time reader, and sometimes (let’s face it, I’m a terrible) reviewer, of Twilight fanfic. I have beta'd a few one-shots, and try to help out in pre-reading but with a two-year old hellion and trying to finish grad school while working full time, it’s been harder and harder to escape.

I've been reading twific since around 2008, shortly after I finished all of the books and wanted more. The first fics I read are probably no longer available, sadly (on ff.net anyway), but the first one that I really remember leaving an impression was “Creature of Habit” by EZRocksAngel. Mr Horrible has always been another favorite of mine. The first smut I fell in love with was TaraSueMe’s Submissive series.

My favorite fics are a mix of ironic humor and bittersweet angst, and I don't really have a preference either way for Vamp/AU/AH/Canon as long as the story is good. I'm not a huge fluff fan, but I can bear it occasionally. I love a well-researched historical fic, especially if I learn some cool historical facts in the process (the one about the Selkie woman in the English court?). My most recent favorites (as in the past year or so) are “There is a Light” by belladonnacullen and “High Fidelity” by IReenH (@ajapersuasia). Currently, I’m reading “Wisp,” by Cris, “Delphian City” by Boom-Boom Jones, and “Beneath This Sky,” by Bedelia. BUT there are many others that have totally blown me away over the years. I feel like I should keep a spreadsheet of all the stories I’ve read and loved just to keep myself straight and so I can tackle hug any ff authors I meet.

I’m mostly looking forward to visiting TFMU Chicago so that I can see and (and hopefully get drunk with) all the awesome people that keep me linked to this fandom. Those of you who I met and laughed with in Vegas, and those of you whom I have yet to meet: YOU ARE ON NOTICE. THERE WILL BE ALCOHOL.

This month I will become a 28- year old, wife & mother of one small dragon (not-so) baby, also known as my son Olin. He's the greatest and most mischievous kid I know. He loves “loc-o-late.” I work full time and am studying for my Masters for 2/3 of the year until May 2014, so my fic reading is done between essays and finals and bath time.

Lastly, if I could be any FicBella, I'd STILL want to be "spark"-ella from bluebathrobe's Tropic of Virgo so I could sing like molasses and honey and write lovely songs with WriterWard.

KEEP CALM AND STAY CLASSY, CHICAGO.

-  Raffinie.

ATTENDEE SPOTLIGHT - @Laureate04

Hi everyone!  I'm Lauren, or as you might know me, Laureate04.  I'm from upstate (Syracuse), NY (which is NOT the same thing as being from NYC, although that's one of my favorite places in the world), and I teach social studies to 12 year olds.  I'm a little bit crazy and a whole lot sarcastic.  I'm always up for adventure - and if it weren't for that sense, I probably wouldn't be joining you all for a lovely weekend in June, because I wouldn't even know about this whole fanfic thing.  I really fell into this fandom and the fanfiction thing after the Water for Elephants premiere in New York City, and I must say that this fandom has brought me some of my best friends and I am so excited to see them again at TFMU, and to add even more of you all to that list.  I read, a LOT, but I also write.  I have two completed stories - Somewhere in Brooklyn and Drunk on You (which I wrote with my fabulous writing partner, SassyKassie).  SassyKassie, our good friend, NaughtyHisBella and I write and beta together and are excited to bring you some new stuff, especially after finding inspiration at TFMU.  I never, ever, thought I'd think of myself as a writer - but I'm getting there.  I'm also really excited to meet up with some of my favorite authors and some new friends I've made through this whole fic-world that I haven't yet had the pleasure to meet in person.  Looking forward to seeing you all in June!!

ATTENDEE SPOTLIGHT - @SassyKassie1

Hey all! I'm Kassie, my friends know me as Sassy Kassie. This will be my first TwiFic Meet Up and I could not be more excited! I will be seeing a lot of old friends and meeting a bunch of new ones. I'm really excited to meet some of my favorite fic writers, these women and men inspire me to be a better writer. Without their dedication to fanfiction, I would not be half the writer I am today. I'm nervous and excited! I can't wait for people to get a chance to tour Chicago as well. I'm a native suburbanite here in Cook County so I would be more than happy to talk anyone's ear off about Chicago! I am very quiet and shy at first, so don't mind my jitters but once I take off there's no stopping me! I'm ridiculously loud and obnoxious, I reserve that for my close friends. I hope that by the time TFMU is over I can count all of you among the list of close friends that I can be crazy with.

I can't wait to see you all in June!

ATTENDEE SPOTLIGHT - @sallyhop1

*Waves* On Fanfiction I am 'Alice's White Rabbit'. My real name is Sally.

I came into the Twilight world late. I got really curious about the time 'New Moon' was coming out in the theaters. My college-age niece and a high school-aged neighbor were both reading the books and were really excited when the "Breaking Dawn" book came out. So, I thought I would see what all the kids were talking about. I bought a cheap dvd of "Twilight" to watch before I went to see "New Moon". I thought, OK, I'll go see this new movie and see what I really think. By the last line in "New Moon", I told myself that I HAD to read these books. So, I borrowed the books from my neighbor and read all 4 in 4 days—very little sleep and I was working full-time!! And, I haven't looked back since.

I found fanfiction like many people. I was looking for more and found the link on Stephenie Meyer's website for "Midnight Sun". Read that and still wanted more, so searched for more. And, found FANFICTION!! I think the first fic I read was “Dark Side of the Moon” by blondie AKA robin. That was a little over 3 years ago and I haven't stopped reading. I don't have much ambition to write (though, I have considered it). I am a prolific reader—I love all genres. I have also started to beta for several authors as well as for Project Team Beta and Sparkly Red Pen. I’m busier now than I was when I was working a full-time job. And, I love it. I’m finally getting to use all the grammar that I had crammed down my throat in grade school. The nuns would be so proud of me (they would just be appalled at what I’m reading).

I live in the far northern suburbs of Philadelphia and retired from nursing last year. (And, no I'm not quite old enough to retire, but my company made an offer that was too good to refuse.) I'm very young at heart. I'm really looking forward catching up with everybody who was in Vegas last year and meeting lots of new folks in Chicago! And, doing a lot of fan-girling on the side—some of my favorite authors are coming! It’s been years since I was in Chicago, so I’m looking forward to reaquanting myself with the city.

ATTENDEE SPOTLIGHT - @planetbluefic

Hey there! My name is Aimee and I write under the name Planetblue. I live in the Northeast with my husband, and our pug, Squiggy.

I can't remember exactly when I stumbled across fanfiction. I think I accidentally came across a Harry Potter fic that had Hermione and Ron....having fun and was all like, WHAT is going on here? So when I fell in love with Twilight, I, like many others, needed more. Needless to say I was a happy girl when I realized there were people writing fic about Edward and Bella! I started out slow.. the fade to black honeymoon scenes, then onto continuations of the books, etc. I then came across Wide Awake and realized exactly how good some of this writing was and the rest is history.

Hundreds of fics later, I decided to try it myself and lo and behold, people actually read it! I'm currently posting my second story, and the love for it has blown me away.

I've been so fortunate to make some truly great friends through our mutual love of fic, and the one thing I'm most excited about is meeting some of these amazing authors I've enjoyed over the years, and to meet some of my own fans which is completely astonishing to me that I have some.

To be able to spend time with people that love fic as much as I do is something I'm very much looking forward to, and I need to be able to prove to my husband that we're not dressing up as vampires and wolves for a whole weekend. So expect me to take pictures!

ATTENDEE SPOTLIGHT - @Twiddler83

1. What was the 1st Twilight FanFiction that you read? Did it only entice you to read more? Why or why not?

Wide Awake. I was completely and utterly sucked in at that point.

2. What are you most looking forward to at the Twific Meet Up?

Putting faces to names. Meeting the girls that I chat with on a daily basis. It's probably going to be sort of surreal.

3. Are you a reader or a writer, or both?
Both

-If you're a writer, what genre(s) do you mainly write?
I write humor/drama/angst/romance - AH - always ExB. I know - no originality there. :)

My stories are Lucky Strike / Southern Honey / Cooler Than Me / Catch Me / Today Is Your Lucky Day / The Vines We Weave / I am Batman.

-If you're a reader, what genre(s) do you mainly read?
I'll read anything. If it's great and sucks me in - I'm there. I'm more of a humor reader and perfer to read complete stories due to my WIP's list getting entirely too long.
Even though I'm close to Chicago, I've never been. I'm excited to rail it all the way up there and back. I really want to see the giant bean for some reason. I know - a kidney bean! woo hoo! I'm a huge baseball fan - so I'll probably venture to Wrigley Field and tourist it. Yep. I also heard there is a tour of the Chicago Mafia - hang outs and stuff. I would LOVE to do that. But mostly, I want to visit with fellow readers and authors.

5. Have any pets? Kids? If so, tell us how many and their breeds (the dogs, people, the dogs). We love animals! (Well, I do.) (And kids, too!)

I have two daughters. Addison is 8 and Briyer (by the time of the get-together) will be 2. One dog - a beagle name Jaeger. Can we count the Hubs as a man-child? If we can, then I have another one of those to add to the kids list.

6. What did you think of The Hunger Games movie? WHAT?! WE ALL SAW IT DIDN'T WE?! (Just kidding. Psst...go ahead and answer it if you want to, I won't care.)

Didn't see it. lol

Bonus Question:
If you could be one FicBella, FicEdward, FicEmmett, FicJasper or FicAlice (you get the picture-pick any character) for one day - which one would it be? (I would totes be FicEdward in @TruceOver's A Tale of Two Cities)

I would love to be FicBella in Practicum. Jesus - teaching Edward all those delicious times. YUMMY!
Orrrr... FicBella in Dirt Roads. I'm a southern girl and it seems like it would be a good time.

ATTENDEE SPOTLIGHT - GothicTemptress

*Waves at everyone* Hello !

I'm Becca (that's me on the right) but you may know me as GothicTemptress on FF.net , ADF and Twilighted. I'm G.t. Becca on facebook. I'm a true Chicago girl, born and raised, and I live a short walk from the hotel this meet-up is taking place at, so I can't wait to share this vibrant metropolis with fellow Twi-peeps, a location surrounded by what I think is one of the coolest cities on earth!

I've been married for almost 17 years and am the stay-at-home-mom of 2 daughters, ages 7 and 10. I'm an artist, writer and poet at heart, and my favorite author is Jane Austen. She's the reason I went in search of fanfiction back in 1998, when I was having a slow work day at a former job. I'd just finished about my hundredth re-read of Pride and Prejudice and wondered if there were any adult rated stories on line that continued that journey beyond the ending, after hearing a news report about fans writing racy internet fiction about their favorite stories. I typed “Darcy Wedding Night” (LMAO!) into the search bar and voilĂ ! A Fanfic addiction was born...and what a fun addiction it is. With this group, I think we're all among kindred spirits in that regard.

I began reading Austen Fanfic in the 90's, then branched out into the Labyrinth and Star Wars fandoms in 2000 on ff.net back when registering was optional and the reviews were not registered nor removable once left – it was total mayhem back in those days of ff.net's history. Luckily, FF.net changed some policies and more order and features came with it. Soon, Harry Potter ruled my free time and Snape fics were my new love through the early and mid-2000's. Then, one day in early 2008, I met-up with a few Labyrinth/Potter fandom friends while they were in town for a Harry Potter convention in Chicago, and the Twilight books came up in conversation. I decided to read the first book. I found Bella irritatingly whiny, and Edward's stalking/controlling tendencies creepy, and yet I liked them despite those failings because they had many wonderful qualities too...I ended loving the entire series as it unfolded, and enjoyed reading the new fanfics being written right after every new book release. With every release, new life seemed to wash over the fandom, especially the thriving segments of the “All Human” selections at our reading disposal, the stories I tend to follow most (although the vamp fics still hold a firm place in my heart). The Twilight fandom is where I've remained, and began writing myself in 2010.

May favorite parts of the Twilight fandom include the reading of stories, discussing those stories and meeting fellow writers and fans who understand my appreciation for the stories I also love so much. It's wonderful when others “get” you and share in what you enjoy. I'm also proud of the fact that there are an incredible amount of talented writers sharing their stories and gaining so much success on the world stage right now, beyond the fandom. I love watching dreams come true and so many readers outside of the core community enjoying stories that I also adored too. I know many share a different stance on the matter, but I believe we've all been able to respect our differences and have maintained a common decency, that I've seen. That, right there, is saying something great about our community, that we respectfully agree to disagree. The Twilight fandom has and continues to be a place filled with supportive, interesting and talented people. It's something I appreciate and still enjoy being a part of.

While I'm a writer, I'm first and foremost a reader. I try to read an average of 30 new stories a week (in addition to the WIP's I follow), and believe strongly in the encouragement a review has on a new author, so I always to try leave one and wish more readers would do the same for those struggling with or attempting to share their creativity with others. I still get excited when I begin reading a new story and my heart beats in excitement at the discovery of a new gem. In this fandom, there are MANY, which is a total blessing and another thing to be proud of among us. At this meet-up, I'm sure we'll be talking about them all!

I most look forward to meeting the readers that have been so gracious in their reviews and support of my longer story, Scintilla, and the various One Shots I've posted or placed/won in contests over the years. I really can't wait to hug the people that have encouraged me and rooted for me along the way – and I also can't wait to hang out with the fun people I've come to know from the Twilighted Forums, including fellow Bunker Babes and Muses. I've met many of these wonderful people at meet-ups over the years but never in one place, and there are quite a few I can't wait to hug for the first time in real life. I look forward to those hugs and fun memories to be made!

I wish everyone safe travels to Chicago, and I hope that when you get here, the Windy City wins your heart as it has mine. If you'd like to correspond prior to the meet-up or want to make plans for meeting up while the convention is going on, you can e-mail me at GothicTemptress@hotmail.com and put Twi Meet Up in the subject line. There are quite a few of you that have reached out to me recently and I always welcome new friendships. For those I haven't met yet, I look forward to.

See you in Chicago!

ATTENDEE SPOTLIGHT - @la_geologia

Hello, my darling friends! My name is Belle, and I'll be coming from San Diego, California. My fandom/Twitter name is @la_geologia (or as I was dubbed in Vegas by theswandive, "lageoliolioiolio"), and I'm so excited to be heading to Chicago for a second year of TwificMeetup magnificence!

My RL is mostly spent being a busy student, but I also love going to concerts, watching lots of soccer, drinking ridiculous amounts of coffee, and just generally being really silly. I've been reading Twific since 2010, and being a part of this fandom has been so much fun. You ladies have become my second family. I try to stay fairly active on Twitter, and love rec'ing fics and constantly gushing over what I'm reading. Feel free to hit me up if you need a rec or someone to flail with!

I have about a million favorite stories, but a few of the ones that have melted my heart the most are Paper CutOuts, Counterpoint, There is a Light, Beyond Time, Finding My Thunder, and The Cube. I'll read any genre, if it's complete, E/B fic, but I'm always a sucker for really good angst.

I've attended the 2011 & 2012 Comic Con meet ups, the big Las Vegas Twific Meetup, and am very active in the SoCalTFMU group, which gets together once a month in Southern California to hang out and talk fic. It's always so exciting to be in a room full of fich00rs, and I apologize in advance for any embarrassing fangirling that WILL take place when I meet the Author's Studio panel of geniuses. <3

I can't wait to meet more of you ladies in Chicago! If you see me around, please please come up and say hi. :)

ATTENDEE SPOTLIGHT - @trixieandtess

Hey!  My name is Jenny Kate.  I've been in the fandom since 2008, when I finally caved and read those "crazy vampire books".  Quickly, I realized that it wasn't just about vampires, and that there was so much more to the story.  It was about first love and sacrifice and loving someone unconditionally.  Something that we all want and can identify with, regardless of age or ethnicity or even gender.

My obsession with the books translated over to the movies...and the actors.  I started a blog in 2010 with a friend, so that I would have an outlet for my obsessions and addictions...Twilight, Rob...Rob...and a little more Twilight.  I also found Twitter and along with it, camaraderie and friends for life.

About a year and a half ago, I started reading fan fic.  I had known about it for a long time, just didn't know why I would want to read made-up stories about the vampires I love so much.  I mean, I could just re-read the books, right?  Wrong.  So so wrong.  The first fic I ever read was Emancipation Proclamation, and a new branch of my fandom obsession started to grow.  Since then, I've quickly made my way through the "classics".  Last year, I started writing fic with my Twi-bestie, traveling buddy, and partner-in-crime, Jiff Simpson.

Even though the Saga has come to an end, I hope my love affair with it goes on forever.

ATTENDEE SPOTLIGHT - @FluffyLiz

I'm the product of an Anglo-Irish marriage, brought up in the agricultural region of England's West Country, moving to London when I was 19 in search of sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll.  I’m happy to report I found all three. Despite extensive partying through the 70s, 80 and 90s, I have, miraculously, survived into my 50s, and am still living and working in London.

In January 2009, almost by accident, I read the first Twilight book, which immediately led on to the next two. I then googled the movie and found Rob – remember all those cute, funny Twilight interviews?  Oh man, I was lost!  Unable to wait, I bought Breaking Dawn in hardback!!! And then there was no more to read... until I discovered fanfiction – and now I'm so hooked, seldom reading anything other than TwiFics (it's what the Kindle was invented for, surely!)  As for Rob, well, it seems I am now hopelessly and irrevocably in love/obsessed with what might as well be a fictional character for all the good it does me.

These days I spend most of my free time (and a lot of time when I should be doing work or other things) hanging out on Facebook with a bunch of like-minded ladies, talking about Rob, fanfiction and such, reading fan fiction (specifically Edward & Bella stories and usually M‑rated because I'm a filthy old slapper!) and now writing it!  I currently have a couple of multi-chapter fics on FanFiction.net – Wild Child and Where Roads Converge.

I blame Shay Savage for getting me writing – she asked readers to produce outtakes describing how they would kill off Carlisle in her Offside fic.  I came third in her Die, Daddy C, Die contest, much to my astonishment and delight – my outtake, What Goes Around Cums Around is available on FanFiction.net.  I hadn’t written anything since essays at college back in the 70s, and now I want to try and write an original novel for publication.

Some things I love (in no particular order): My friends; my brothers; driving fast cars; music (from Mozart to Madonna, Jethro Tull to Jay-Z, Pink Floyd to Pink, Return to Forever to Rhianna, and all points in between); Italian food; books; well-written TwiFics; old movies; beautiful shoes; cold, clear, autumnal nights; open fires; wine; champagne; vodka; proper old-fashioned English pubs; trees; men; and, of course, the aforementioned Mr Pattinson.

Some things I hate: Lies; hypocrisy; bullying; racism; traffic; discourtesy; cruelty to animals and children; wilful stupidity; working for a living; artichokes; my own terminal laziness; badly written TwiFics; buses; arthritis; my stupid bad back; men(!)

ATTENDEE SPOTLIGHT - @leckadams

I'm Lauren from SW Ohio. I enjoy reading all different types of fic and read pretty much anything except canon. I just don't do it. Some of my favorite pairings are Jasper/Bella, Emmett/Bella and any pack member with Bella. I also really love slash fic. If I'm going to read Edward, I like him paired with one of the guys.

By the time the meet up is here I will officially be a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (after finally deciding what I wanted to do when I grew up and 10 years of college!) I am married with 4 stepsons who are all grown & I refer to by age cause it's WAY easier! I am always on twitter and up to chat with who ever about whatever. I like to make list (yes I'm aware that it's strange, but it keeps me organized) and have been told (and agree with) that I have mad excel spreadsheet skills. (Seriously I have mastered that and Gdocs version of it!)

I am looking forward to Chicago to meet up with old friends and meet new ones and spending the weekend with people who love fic as much as me.

ATTENDEE SPOTLIGHT - @twimom817

Hi! I’m Jill or otherwise known as twimom817. I’m so excited to be coming this year as I wasn’t able to attend last year. I live in Philadelphia with my 3 beautiful children and my hubby. I work full time and write and read in my spare time.

I was a late bloomer with Twilight not reading the books until after Twilight was already on video. My curiosity got the best of me and I grabbed Twilight while strolling through the store and read it in a day before renting the movie and watching it. The following day I was back at the store grabbing the rest of the series and had my nose in the books the rest of that week.

In order to feed my Twilight addiction I went in search of anything Twilight on the net. I came across the site Twilighters Anonymous and met a few people I had a lot in common with. After blogging about anything and everything Twilight they turned me on to fanfiction and I was hooked ever since.

After reading so many great stories by other fabulous writers I decided to take a crack at writing. I was lucky enough to find Kare831 after posting a tweet about looking for a beta. At first we helped each other beta’ing each other stories while trying our hand at co-writing a one-shot. It turns out we work really good together and have written so many one-shots and even wrote a hot Irishward story called ‘What Fills the Eye Fills the Heart.’

If you don’t catch me writing or spending time with the family, then you'll probably find me with my nose in a good book. There's nothing like curling up with a great romance novel. Then again there’s nothing like reading a good HEA fic either.

I’m so excited to be going to Chicago to meet so many writers and readers who share in this obsession! Can it be June already?

ATTENDEE SPOTLIGHT - @Savage7289

I was first brought into the Twilight world by the evil known as "Amazon One-Click".  Yes, I accidentally bought Twilight.  Ticked off that I had just wasted $8, I figured I might as well read the darn thing.

Then I bought the next book.

And the next book.

Four days later I had read them all, including unfinished Midnight Sun, and went looking for more in fanfiction.  I wanted more Edward point of view, especially more vampire Edward.  I loved the thoughts running through his head when he first sees/smells Bella, and the possibilities of different timelines, if you will.  That's what I went looking for, but I didn't find it.  I found a bunch of stuff in EPOV, I found a bunch of vamp stuff, but not what I wanted.  So, like a good obsessive-compulsive, I decided to write the story I was looking to read.

The rest is history, as they say.

I am really looking forward to the Twific Meetup in June.  I have met a few people in the fandom either individually or in small groups at various places, and I love getting to know everyone.  I am a little nervous about the whole thing, because it looks like it's going to be a huge group of people, but I know it's going to end up being a blast!  I'm very honored to be a guest, and the whole "inside the author's studio" looks like a ton of fun!

See you all in June!

Shay Savage

ATTENDEE SPOTLIGHT - @mmgibson22

Hi! I’m Meagan (MDiva22)! I first discovered the Twilight series when I was a junior in college. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows had been released and I was in a post-HP depression. I remember reading about some book in a series that had overtaken Deathly Hallows on the NYT Best Sellers list. I was curious, needed a new book and had a coupon to Borders. The rest was history.

The first fic I really remember reading was Wide Awake. It was the first time a fic had captivated me. Since then I have read countless stories, even written a few myself, and am finding myself constantly amazed with each new fic discovery at how unbelievably talented this fandom is.

Some little things about me: I love to bake cupcakes and have started a little side business called Kiss My Cupcakes. I have a scary obsession with my sports teams, we’re talking screaming, pacing, pillow on top of my head scary. I adopted a kitten from the shelter back in November. Her name is Trixie, she’s pure black with green eyes and I’m kind of obsessed with her. I’m not a huge fan of Chicago, I’m used to Indy, but it has a cool history and I haven’t experienced the nightlife so I’m pumped to maybe visit some cool bars.

I am seriously beyond freaking excited to meet so many of the talented and lovely ladies from the fandom!

ATTENDEE SPOTLIGHT - @jiffsimpson

1. What was the 1st Twilight FanFiction that you read? Did it only entice you to read more? Why or why not?

My first Twi fanfic was The Plan and, once I got over the shock of reading about my favorite Saga characters doing the nasty in such detail, heck, yeah, I wanted more!  I've never read anything like fanfic, not even Harlequin Romance books so, it was certainly an eye-opener!  I was instantly hooked, not just because of the lemons, but because I was so happy to read more about my favorite characters!

2. What are you most looking forward to at the Twific Meet Up?

So many things!  Meeting everyone!  I can't believe I'm going to be surrounded by some of my favorite writers, Twitter friends, and even some of my readers!  I can't wait to squish everyone!  I'm also excited to visit Chicago for the first time and have another amazing adventure with my partner in crime, @TrixieandTess!

3. Are you a reader or a writer, or both?

I am both now!  I've been reading since Fall 2010 and, last spring, @TrixieandTess and I started posting our first fic under our author's name, JiffyKateFanFic.

-If you're a writer, what genre(s) do you mainly write?

So far, we've only tackled E/B in fluffy, not-too-angsty stories.

-If you're a reader, what genre(s) do you mainly read?

I like it all...E/B, Jasper/B, human, vamp. I love sexy, fluffy stories the most but I can handle some angst if it is well-written.

Growing up watching John Hughes' movies, I have always wanted to visit Chicago.  I want to go on a Ferris Bueller tour and see everything that was featured in that movie!  Our second fic is a mash-up of JH movies so, JennyKate and I are even more excited to go to Chicago now!

5. Have any pets? Kids? If so, tell us how many and their breeds (the dogs, people, the dogs). We love animals! (Well, I do.) (And kids, too!)

I have a 12 year old daughter named Mackenzie and an 11 year old son named Jack.  I also have a Golden Retriever, Harley, who is older than dirt (15) and an English Bulldog named, take a wild guess, Bella!  Bella is 3.

6. What did you think of The Hunger Games movie? WHAT?! WE ALL SAW IT DIDN'T WE?! (Just kidding. Psst...go ahead and answer it if you want to, I won't care.)

I hated that movie!  It made me incredibly motion-sick with the way it was filmed and I was pretty pissed off when I saw it.  LOL  Plus, I simply don't like books or movies that don't make me feel good; that is not entertaining to me.

Bonus Question:
If you could be one FicBella, FicEdward, FicEmmett, FicJasper or FicAlice (you get the picture-pick any character) for one day - which one would it be? (I would totes be FicEdward in @TruceOver's A Tale of Two Cities)

I have no idea!  Let me think... geez, I don't know...maybe Bella from Bella Swan, Kidnapper?  Lol

ATTENDEE SPOTLIGHT - LayAtHomeMom

1.    What was the 1st Twilight FanFiction that you read? Did it only entice you to read more? Why or why not?
First fanfic I read was Wide Awake.  After that I went CRAZY reading.  I went to a Top Ten Listing and read almost all of those, including Edward Wallbanger.  Then I found High Anxiety and TaraSueMe’s submissive series.  For me, FanFiction is heaven on earth.  Not only did it entice me to read more – it made me want to try my hand at writing.

2.    What are you most looking forward to at the Twific Meet Up?
Meeting authors that I am in awe of and meeting a couple of readers who’ve made my writing experience fantastic.

3.    Are you a reader or a writer, or both?
Both for sure.  I read mostly E/B, and some Em/R and some Daddy C.  I just started pre-reading my very first slash as I am trying to expand my horizons.  As for genre, I like just about everything.
As a writer, I’ve only written one story and am working on my next.  I am strictly Humor/Romance as far as writing – gotta stick to what I know J

4.    Have you ever been to Vegas/Chicago (wherever the TFMU event is being held) before?
I live near Chicago and my entire family is in the city and suburbs.  I am here quite a bit.  I have no concerns – this city is so much fun and you guys picked a FANTASTIC venue.  Although, Vegas sounds like a blast as well – if you hold it there again I will be there with bells on J  I was just there a couple of weeks ago and I am already itching to get back.

5.    Have any pets? Kids? If so, tell us how many and their breeds (the dogs, people, the dogs). We love animals! (Well, I do.) (And kids, too!)
I have 4 kids (I know, I feel like the Duggars).  One 5 year old boy, one 2 year old girl, and a set of 5 month old twin gals to boot.

6.    What did you think of The Hunger Games movie? WHAT?! WE ALL SAW IT DIDN'T WE?! (Just kidding. Psst...go ahead and answer it if you want to, I won't care.)
I enjoyed The Hunger Games movie – I thought it was very true to the book.

Bonus Question:
If you could be one FicBella, FicEdward, FicEmmett, FicJasper or FicAlice (you get the picture-pick any character) for one day - which one would it be? (I would totes be FicEdward in @TruceOver's A Tale of Two Cities)
Tough one…  How about this – I would be a FicBella from one of the following stories just so I could bang the FicEdward in them:
The Slowest Burn by Typokween (crazy, dirty boy Edward – sign me up for a yes)
Insatiable Desires by ItzMegan73 (hypersexual Edward, yes please even if he does look like Severus Snape)
Graze the Green Grasses by Jonesn (because who doesn’t want a cowboy Edward – Paula Cole and I wanna know where have all the cowboys gone)
Quiet Storm by Sexilexicullen  (yeah, just because I like his brand of crazy)

Is that an acceptable answer?  If not, I’d be the FicBella in MasenVixen’s Stranger Than Fiction b/c she was AWESOME!

ATTENDEE SPOTLIGHT - @Divyvicki

What was the 1st Twilight FanFiction that you read? Did it only entice you to read more? Why or why not?

Wide Awake was the first I read and The Gentleman from Washington is really what encouraged me to read more.

2. What are you most looking forward to at the Twific Meet Up?

Meeting my favorite authors.

3. Are you a reader or a writer, or both?

Reader Only.  I'm not talented enough to write!  LOL
-If you're a writer, what genre(s) do you mainly write?
-If you're a reader, what genre(s) do you mainly read? Read about everything,  Not too much on MSBD, but only read Edward/Bella HEA Unless I'm fooled into reading something else by the synopsis.

I've been to Chicago numerous times.  Looking forward to the wonderful food the Windy City offers.

5. Have any pets? Kids? If so, tell us how many and their breeds (the dogs, people, the dogs). We love animals! (Well, I do.) (And kids, too!)
I have one dog.  Hun E. Bunch!  actually she belongs to my husband.  She is German Shepherd/Beagle mix and too smart for her own good.  I have two daughters, both adult and one will be accompanying me to the conference.  Does she need a separate registration?

6. What did you think of The Hunger Games movie? WHAT?! WE ALL SAW IT DIDN'T WE?! (Just kidding. Psst...go ahead and answer it if you want to, I won't care.)
I did enjoy The Hunger Games.  Didn't care for the ending of Beautiful Creatures though

Bonus Question:
If you could be one FicBella, FicEdward, FicEmmett, FicJasper or FicAlice (you get the picture-pick any character) for one day - which one would it be? (I would totes be FicEdward in @TruceOver's A Tale of Two Cities)
I would love to be FicBella so I could be with FicEdward!
