*Waves* On Fanfiction I am 'Alice's White Rabbit'. My real name is Sally.
I came into the Twilight world late. I got really curious about the time 'New Moon' was coming out in the theaters. My college-age niece and a high school-aged neighbor were both reading the books and were really excited when the "Breaking Dawn" book came out. So, I thought I would see what all the kids were talking about. I bought a cheap dvd of "Twilight" to watch before I went to see "New Moon". I thought, OK, I'll go see this new movie and see what I really think. By the last line in "New Moon", I told myself that I HAD to read these books. So, I borrowed the books from my neighbor and read all 4 in 4 days—very little sleep and I was working full-time!! And, I haven't looked back since.
I found fanfiction like many people. I was looking for more and found the link on Stephenie Meyer's website for "Midnight Sun". Read that and still wanted more, so searched for more. And, found FANFICTION!! I think the first fic I read was “Dark Side of the Moon” by blondie AKA robin. That was a little over 3 years ago and I haven't stopped reading. I don't have much ambition to write (though, I have considered it). I am a prolific reader—I love all genres. I have also started to beta for several authors as well as for Project Team Beta and Sparkly Red Pen. I’m busier now than I was when I was working a full-time job. And, I love it. I’m finally getting to use all the grammar that I had crammed down my throat in grade school. The nuns would be so proud of me (they would just be appalled at what I’m reading).
I live in the far northern suburbs of Philadelphia and retired from nursing last year. (And, no I'm not quite old enough to retire, but my company made an offer that was too good to refuse.) I'm very young at heart. I'm really looking forward catching up with everybody who was in Vegas last year and meeting lots of new folks in Chicago! And, doing a lot of fan-girling on the side—some of my favorite authors are coming! It’s been years since I was in Chicago, so I’m looking forward to reaquanting myself with the city.
