1. What was the 1st Twilight FanFiction that you read? Did it only entice you to read more? Why or why not?
Ummm. I have no idea what the first Twific I read was, but according to FFnet the first fic I put on alert was The Naked Guy Upstairs by AngryBadgerGirl. If I remember correctly, and that’s always if-y, I was also reading Wallbanger and The Wedding Party around the same time. I enjoyed all of those stories and, clearly, they got me to read more, because here I am three years later - still reading and now writing Twific.
I've consistently been amazed by the both the quality and quantity of Twific out there. I feel like I'll never have enough time to read it all!
2. What are you most looking forward to at the Twific Meet Up?
I’m looking forward to spending time with my IndyTFMU girls and meeting some new fandom friends! I’ve chatted with so many people about meeting up someday, I’m glad it’s finally going to happen for some of us!
3. Are you a reader or a writer, or both?
I’m both! ;)
-If you're a writer, what genre(s) do you mainly write?
I guess I’d call it romantical fluff. Sometimes I mix in some angst, but I hate hurting my characters, so it never lasts too long. I’d love to be able to write an amazing mystery...but so far I’m enjoying writing some sweet stuff.
-If you're a reader, what genre(s) do you mainly read?
OH. I like to read a little bit of everything. Human, vamp, fluff, humor, mystery. If it’s a good story, I’ll give it a try. Although kind of like my writing, I’m not a huge fan of major angst...but I’ll read it on occasion. I’m mainly and E/B girl...but I’ll read other pairings - B/C, B/Jas, E/Leah, E/J, E/G, I’m pretty open. I’m not a huge Jake fan though, I don’t really want him paired with anyone.
4. Have you ever been to Chicago before? If yes, tell us what you loved/hated most about it. If you haven't been, what are you most excited to see - or on the opposite side of the spectrum - what are you most worried about when visiting Vegas/Chicago?
I live less than three hours from here, so yeah, I’ve been to Chicago many times. It’s harder now that I have a family, but I love the city.
What am I most excited to do/see? I want to go to Navy Pier again and check it out now that I’ve read Divergent/Insurgent. I want to get some pizza; Home Run Inn is my favorite place. I’d love to do a little shopping in Chinatown too! There’s not going to be enough time in this weekend - I can already tell!
5. Have any pets? Kids? If so, tell us how many and their breeds (the dogs, people, the dogs). We love animals!
Two kids. Our daughter Skylar is 6 and our son Sawyer is 3 (4 in July). They are complete crackups.
We have a few fish and a gigantic orange cat named Lilly. She’s a Hemingway cat, with extra toes. She can take the lids of containers of Stove Top stuffing and begs for oranges. She’s nuts and fits right in with our family.
6. What did you think of The Hunger Games movie? WHAT?! WE ALL SAW IT DIDN'T WE?! (Just kidding. Psst...go ahead and answer it if you want to, I won't care.)
Hmmm... I preferred the book. I thought it was a good movie, but there were little deviations that I thought were unnecessary. At any rate, I’m looking forward to the next one.
If you could be one FicBella, FicEdward, FicEmmett, FicJasper or FicAlice (you get the picture-pick any character) for one day - which one would it be? (I would totes be FicEdward in @TruceOver's A Tale of Two Cities)
This is a hard question! Wait - OMG! I’ve got it! I’d be Bella from RinaBina’s A Getty Romance. I’d love to work at the Getty for a day. I’d have lunch with Edward and maybe get in some alone time in his office too. :) Yup. I’d be her.
